We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a team within the financial services industry, supporting the distribution of managed account solutions. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working across the stack and contributing to modern, enterprise-scale applications. This is a LONG TERM project, 12+ months, strong potential for extensions, and is high impact, we need someone able to balance backend Java APIs as well as Angular UI development who can hit the ground running and add value through engineering excellence and collaboration with both other engineers, product, and business stakeholders.

You'll work on a platform using Angular for UI and Java with Spring Boot for APIs, with opportunities to leverage Python, AWS, containers, and CI/CD. The team values collaboration, code quality, and iterative delivery in an Agile environment. The work will be part of a collaborative, agile team building and enhancing platform-based applications that support highly visible and strategic initiatives. The team is looking for a true full-stack engineer, with strong backend Java/API expertise and modern Angular UI skills.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $63.00 to $66.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with a strong balance of backend and frontend work
  • Build and support RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
  • Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using recent versions of Angular
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration workflows
  • Contribute to application design, performance, and scalability across the platform

Experience Requirements:
Required
  • 6-9 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Proven experience working as a full-stack engineer in enterprise environments
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative Agile teams
  • Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
  • Solid API development experience (REST, JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI)
  • Hands-on experience with Angular (modern versions) for UI development
  • SQL and relational database experience (e.g., PostgreSQL or similar)
  • Experience using Git-based source control and pull-request workflows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

Nice to Have
  • AWS cloud experience (EC2, S3 preferred)
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
  • Python experience
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Financial services or enterprise platform experience


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • AWS certification (preferred, OR experience with either EC2, S3, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Also preferred - exposure to Python, financial services, and abilities with TDD/shift left mentalities (I.E. an ability to work with test driven development / automation tools and frameworks, as well as CICD / docker / Kubernetes environments within cloud alongside other engineers
