Job Title: Technical Facilities Equipment Engineer

Location: Tulsa, OK (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are building a new V3 (Vertical 3) Engineering Organization that brings together Wireless and Business engineering teams to support equipment installations across Central Offices (COs), Data Centers, and TAP/SAP facilities.

As a Technical Facilities Equipment Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and validating the installation of network transport and 5G core equipment, ensuring all work meets engineering, safety, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Installation Oversight
  • Manage the end-to-end installation lifecycle for network transport and 5G core equipment
  • Coordinate installation activities across multiple facility types, including COs, Data Centers, and wireless infrastructure sites
  • Ensure installations align with engineering designs, timelines, and quality expectations

Vendor & Quality Management
  • Oversee third-party vendors performing physical installation work (e.g., equipment mounting, fiber placement)
  • Lead "Construction Complete" walkthroughs and coordinate Layer 1 connectivity testing

Site Engineering & Assessments
  • Conduct on-site site walks and facility assessments to evaluate:
    • Space availability and rack layouts
    • Power and cooling requirements
    • Hot / Cold aisle conformance
    • Ancillary material needs (fiber jumpers, hardware, etc.)
  • Identify risks or constraints early and recommend mitigation strategies

Systems & Documentation
  • Work in engineering and project systems, including:
    • Canvas (replacing CCP)
    • FUZE
    • Internal project management and tracking tools
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support installation readiness, audits, and operational turnover


Required Qualifications (Must-Have Skills)
  • Network Equipment Installation Experience (5-7 years):
    Hands-on background supporting or overseeing equipment installations in Central Offices, Data Centers, MTSO/MTSO, or similar network facilities
  • Facility & Infrastructure Knowledge:
    Working understanding of floor plans, rack layouts, cabling standards, and hot/cold aisle design
  • Power & Cooling Fundamentals:
    Familiarity with power, space, and cooling requirements within technical facilities


Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have Skills)
  • Experience working in telecom, wireless, or large-scale network environments
  • Background with competitor or vendor environments (e.g., AT&T, Nokia, Ericsson) or military technical roles
  • Experience collaborating across multiple engineering domains (Wireless, Transport, Facilities)

  • Education: Degree preferred but not required; hands-on technical experience is equally valued
  • Mindset: Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a new, evolving organization
Collaboration: Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work across cross-functional engineering teams
