Senior Cerner CCL Consultant
Remote – Anywhere in the United States
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Cerner Technical Consultant / Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Cerner Millennium, CCL development, healthcare data integration, ETL, and EHR migration initiatives.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
✔ Assess, analyze, and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings
✔ Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications for reporting and analytics
✔ Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts
✔ Perform complex data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas
✔ Support enterprise-wide EHR data migration, reporting, and legacy retirement initiatives
✔ Develop and support ETL processes, structured data feeds, and flat file extracts
✔ Troubleshoot CCL performance issues and downstream integration/reporting challenges
✔ Collaborate with clinical informatics and technical teams to ensure accurate implementation
✔ Execute and tune CCL scripts and support production/non-production environments
🔹 Required Skills & Experience:
✅ 11+ years of strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations
✅ 11+ years supporting large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, or optimization initiatives
✅ 11+ years translating clinical requirements into technical and data specifications
✅ 11+ years of advanced hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL)
✅ 11+ years working with Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases
✅ 11+ years experience with SQL, Linux, and enterprise data extraction/migration patterns
✅ 11+ years designing and supporting ETL processes
✅ 11+ years familiarity with healthcare data integrations and reporting environments
✅ 11+ years experience with REST / SOA development
✅ 11+ years knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and performance tuning
✅ 11+ years writing, executing, and tuning CCL scripts in production environments
✅ 11+ years experience with data extraction, system integration, and code development
✅ 11+ years working knowledge of Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or OCI
✅ 11+ years hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI cloud platforms
🔹 Preferred Skills:
⭐ Experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments
⭐ Prior experience serving as a Senior Cerner Consultant or Technical Lead
