Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

Description

We are looking for a Sr. Consultant to lead a specialized effort focused on transforming a complex Excel-based inventory model used for physical security hardware planning in data center environments. This Long-term Contract position is 100% Remote and based in the Greater Seattle Area and will play a key role in analyzing an existing workbook, capturing its business logic in clear documentation, and guiding the transition to a more scalable solution. The ideal candidate combines advanced Excel expertise with strong project leadership skills and can partner closely with stakeholders to bring structure, visibility, and continuity to a critical operational process.

Responsibilities:

Examine a highly complex Excel workbook to identify and reverse engineer formulas, dependencies, workflows, and embedded business rules tied to hardware inventory tracking.

Translate the workbook's underlying logic into thorough, accessible documentation so the process can be understood and maintained by a broader team.

Lead the planning and execution of moving the current Excel-based model into a more sustainable tool or platform aligned with long-term business needs.

Coordinate day-to-day activities with the team and key stakeholders to ensure priorities, timelines, and deliverables remain on track.

Manage project scope, milestones, and risks while providing consistent updates on progress, decisions, and potential blockers.

Facilitate structured discussions with business and technical partners to validate assumptions, clarify requirements, and support solution design.

Use project management methodologies and tools to organize workstreams, maintain visibility, and drive accountability across the engagement.

Requirements

Advanced expertise in Excel, including the ability to interpret complex formulas, calculations, and workbook logic.
Proven experience leading IT or business process projects as a project manager, senior consultant, or comparable role.
Strong background in Agile or Scrum delivery practices within cross-functional environments.
PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are preferred.
Hands-on experience using Jira or similar project tracking platforms to manage tasks, timelines, and reporting.
Ability to document technical and operational processes clearly for both specialized and non-technical audiences.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple teams.
