Senior MicroStrategy Developer

Position: Lead MicroStrategy/BI Developer

Client Location: Las Angeles, CA

Work Location: Hybrid work model (3 days On-site MUST)

Employment Type: Corp-to-Corp or Contract-to-Hire

Overview:

• Client is seeking a handson BI Lead with strong expertise in Power BI and MicroStrategy to deliver Analytics and Financial reporting solutions within the CPG and Financial Reporting domains. This role requires deep technical ownership, strong communication skills, and close collaboration with Finance and Business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver BI reporting solutions using Power BI and MicroStrategy
• Own endtoend Power BI development (data models, DAX, datasets, dashboards, performance tuning)
• Develop and support Strategy (MicroStrategy) reports and dashboards.
• Partner with FP&A and Finance teams to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure alignment with standardized financial and revenue data models.
• Drive best practices for data accuracy, validation, security, and governance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to onshore/offshore teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 8+ years strong experience with MicroStrategy development (mandatory).
• Strong experience in BI/Analytics/Reporting, with strong handson delivery.
• Deep expertise in Power BI and DAX.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and analytics architectures.
• Proven experience in CPG and Financial Reporting/FP&A domains.
• Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.

• Experience migrating or modernizing Strategy to Power BI.
• Exposure to Cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
• Background in retail, consumer products, or mediaadjacent environments
