Description
We are looking for an experienced IAM Advisor to provide strategic guidance on identity management solutions for a contract position based remotely in the U.S. This role focuses on assessing current architecture and advising on a potential transition from Okta to Microsoft Entra, with an emphasis on risk mitigation and best practices. As a purely advisory role, this position does not involve hands-on technical implementation.
Responsibilities:
Analyze the organization's current identity architecture and roadmap to identify strengths, weaknesses, and risks.
Provide expert advice on transitioning identity services from Okta to Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
Develop strategic recommendations for migration sequencing, approach, and risk management.
Assess security and identity-related risks associated with the proposed transition and provide actionable solutions.
Deliver insights grounded in industry best practices to enhance the organization's identity management strategy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure recommendations align with business goals and technical feasibility.
Offer advisory input on architecture standards and enterprise-level identity solutions.
Lead discussions on strategic roadmaps for IAM processes and tools.
Share expertise in Group Policy Objects (GPO), server virtualization, and enterprise storage as it pertains to IAM solutions.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in identity and access management strategy and architecture.
Proven expertise in both Okta and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) platforms.
Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations.
Background in advisory or consulting roles, with a focus on IAM solutions.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and enterprise storage systems.
Familiarity with architecture standards and strategic roadmaps for IAM.
Experience with server virtualization and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and present findings.
