Job Title- Senior QA/SDET
Position OverviewWe are seeking a
Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to join a fast-paced, agile development team. This role will focus heavily on
test automation across UI and API layers, while also supporting
manual testing for new feature development within sprints.
The environment is highly automated, and this individual will play a critical role in
maintaining, enhancing, and scaling automation frameworks alongside ongoing development efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
- Perform manual testing for new features during sprint cycles, then convert to automation
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA team members, and product stakeholders
- Execute UI and API testing across multiple applications
- Build and maintain automation as part of CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
- Support performance and load testing as needed
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, tools, and best practices defined by the organization
Required Skills & Experience- Strong experience in test automation engineering (SDET role)
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python
- Hands-on experience with:
- Selenium
- Cucumber
- Test automation frameworks
- Experience with API testing tools (experience with Bruno preferred; Postman knowledge transferable)
- Experience with both UI and API automation
- Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Ability to write and execute manual test cases when needed
Nice to Have- Experience with:
- Robot Framework
- Performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Security testing practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
- Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
- Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise environment
Tools & Technologies- Automation: Selenium, Cucumber
- Languages: JavaScript (primary), Python
- API Testing: Bruno (new), Postman (legacy)
- Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner
- Frameworks: Custom + Robot Framework (optional)
- AI Tools: GitHub Copilot, internal AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
