Technical Business Analyst
Summary
As a Technical Business Analyst on the Income platform team, you will play a critical role in partnering with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that support retirement income planning and holistic advice capabilities. This role focuses on translating business needs into well defined requirements, supporting Agile delivery, executing user acceptance testing, and ensuring solutions are compliant, high quality, and ready for release.
Job Responsibilities
• Create well defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation to enable effective development and testing
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand ups, and reviews
• Support system and user acceptance testing (UAT), with a primary focus on UAT execution, including coordination, defect triage, and support through sign off
• Support the intake process for BAU and support work by reviewing issues and enhancement requests, assisting with prioritization, defining short term and/or long term solution approaches, and clearly communicating outcomes to stakeholders
• Collaborate with legal, risk, and compliance partners to ensure regulatory and policy requirements are addressed and release ready
• Contribute across multiple initiatives by partnering with business and technology teams to deliver solutions, balance priorities, and support ongoing application needs
Qualifications (Required)
12+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Technical Analyst role
• Strong experience gathering and documenting requirements and defining solutions in partnership with stakeholders
• Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and working within Agile methodologies
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to understand complex systems and processes and communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques to solve business and technical problems
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Experience with SQL and a basic understanding of data structures, databases, and queries
• Experience using Agile work management tools such as Jira or Rally
• Hands on experience with system testing and/or user acceptance testing
• Understanding of the Financial Services and Asset Management industries
