SAP Architect FICO with VIM Expertise

Techwave is actively hiring SAP Functional Solution Architect - Finance & VIM to join our team in a full-time (FTE) capacity. These roles are Hybrid flexible in Raritan, NJ or Houston, TX.

The SAP Solution Architect will lead the design and delivery of Finance and Controlling (FICO) solutions within SAP S/4HANA, with secondary expertise in OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM). The role requires strong business process understanding, deep functional knowledge, and experience in global template design for large-scale transformation programs. The candidate should have experience interacting with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into detailed requirement documentation (BRD/FRD). Experience or exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and adherence to Clean Core principles will be considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for Finance and Controlling processes in SAP S/4HANA.
• Design and implement Accounts Payable automation leveraging OpenText VIM.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Define global Chart of Accounts, Cost Center hierarchies, and Profitability Analysis structures.
• Ensure compliance with Life Sciences industry regulations.
• Drive integration with related modules (MM, SD, PP) and external systems.
• Lead fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and configuration activities.
• Support data migration strategy for finance master and transactional data.
• Provide guidance on SAP best practices, Fiori apps, and embedded analytics.
• Oversee testing strategy and ensure quality delivery across phases.
• Act as a trusted advisor on SAP roadmap and future enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15 years of SAP experience with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations in Finance and Controlling.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Activate methodology.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText VIM for invoice management.
• Deep understanding of Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• Good understanding of Integrations and Reporting requirements and having done requirement analysis and building specifications.
• Experience in Life Sciences industry and familiarity with compliance requirements.
• Proven track record in complex global SAP transformation programs.
• Strong integration knowledge with MM, SD, and third-party systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in Finance (FICO) and/or VIM.
• Experience in global template design and rollout.
• Exposure to tax compliance, intercompany processes, and regulatory reporting.
