Role Summary

The Senior Security Consulting Engineer provides technical leadership for complex enterprise security initiatives, with deep expertise in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), network access control, firewalls, automation, and secure network infrastructure. This role leads security solution design, deployment, integration, testing, and customer delivery while serving as a trusted technical advisor to technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex security infrastructure engagements from planning and design through implementation and support.
  • Design and deploy Cisco ISE solutions, including MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB), endpoint profiling, and policy enforcement.
  • Define authentication and authorization policies, Security Group Tags (SGTs), fallback processes, and application integrations.
  • Develop solution designs, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
  • Lead testing and validation of network access control and security solutions.
  • Provide expertise in Cisco Secure Firewall, ASA, routing, switching, Software-Defined Access, and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Develop automation and custom security solutions using Cisco APIs, DevOps practices, and programming technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex security and infrastructure issues.
  • Lead technical workshops, presentations, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with security architects, development teams, technical stakeholders, and account teams to deliver scalable security solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with Cisco ISE, including enterprise environments using Cisco ISE version 3 or later.
  • Strong experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Cisco Secure Firewall and ASA environments.
  • Experience with network access control, MAB, endpoint profiling, authentication, authorization, and segmentation.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with Cisco Software-Defined Access and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Experience with automation frameworks, APIs, DevOps practices, and Java or similar programming technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, consulting, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
  • CCNA and CCNP Security certifications required.
  • CCIE Security, CISSP, ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to meet applicable client onboarding, security, and compliance requirements.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 - $62.00 Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
