Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Analyst - Strategy & Operations for a Contract Right-to-Hire assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Dallas, Texas. Hybrid: requires 3 days in the office.

This role sits within the Technology Strategy & Operations team (Office of the CIO) supporting leadership across the bank's Global Wealth Management Technology and Global Banking & Markets Technology organizations.

The Senior Analyst will function similarly to an internal consulting resource, supporting leadership through strategic analysis, reporting, vendor and financial analysis, and governance oversight. The individual will work across technology, procurement, finance, and business teams to analyze complex challenges, synthesize fragmented data, and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to develop reporting tools and dashboards that improve visibility and decision-making across the technology organization.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Technology Strategy & Operations team with analysis and execution of strategic initiatives across Global Wealth and Global Markets Technology
  • Analyze vendor relationships, technology platforms, and associated spend to identify opportunities for optimization and cost efficiencies
  • Assist with initiatives involving vendor strategy, including supplier replacement analysis for legacy technology platforms
  • Work cross-functionally with Technology, Procurement, Finance, and Business teams to gather data and develop actionable insights
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to support leadership visibility into technology initiatives and operational performance
  • Perform financial analysis including forecast vs. actual spend reporting and budgeting insights
  • Support governance initiatives ensuring technology strategy milestones and initiatives are executed as planned
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reporting materials for leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions
  • Assist with third-party risk and/or assessments and vendor contract reviews for going forward strategies.
  • Help track execution of strategic initiatives, including identifying risks, dependencies, and progress against milestones
  • Take on smaller technical and reporting projects to improve team productivity and operational visibility
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, technology operations, or PMO roles
  • Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation development skills
  • Strong Analytical & Consultative Problem-Solving Skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, synthesize fragmented data, and develop actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Advanced Excel analytics and reporting experience
  • Experience building or maintaining Power BI dashboards or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across large organizations
  • Experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, wealth management, or any other highly regulated industries (e.g., Insurance)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or wealth management
  • Experience working within management consulting or internal strategy teams
  • Exposure to vendor management, supplier strategy, or third-party risk processes
  • Familiarity with tools such as Coupa or contract management systems (ICM)
  • Exposure to technology governance or CIO office functions
  • Background supporting technology or digital transformation initiatives
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline
