Maximo Lead Developer
Remote with occasional onsite visit
Note: Travel will likely not be required more than once a quarter. Known potential locations to travel to are Raleigh, NC, DC, and Chicago.
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND TASKS :
Statement of Work:
Maximo Lead Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Maximo applications for US Government Client enterprise systems. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with engineers and analysts to deliver robust software solutions. Leads development of algorithms, database design, and integration strategies. Oversees developer teams, ensures software quality, and mitigates risks. Applies scientific analysis and modeling to optimize system performance and meet user requirements within time and cost constraints.
Must have experience and deep knowledge of Maximo, functional and technical areas/disciplines and be able to conduct research on special areas. Must create software development plans and strategies. Must have experience in developing and implementing algorithms. Must have experience in database design. Oversee work of developers. Conduct quality control of software development. Conduct proactive risk identification and mitigation of software development process.
Must have experience in devising possible solutions to predicted problems, evaluating other options; working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of the program; combining all elements of the program design and testing it; testing sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as intended.
Task Description:
• Maximo Development & Customization (30%) – Design, code, and implement Maximo applications, enhancements, and configurations across functional and technical areas.
• Algorithm & Database Development (25%) – Develop algorithms and design/optimize relational databases to support performance and scalability
• Software Development Planning (20%) – Create software development plans, technical strategies, and coding standards to guide project execution.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing (15%) – Work closely with stakeholders and team members, contributing to solution design and sharing technical expertise.
• Research & Problem Solving (10%) – Conduct research on specialized areas, devise solutions to potential issues, and evaluate alternatives.
Required skills/Level of Experience :
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as Technical Functional resource of client Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software is required.
• Cient Maximo 7.x application configuration and support (e.g., Maximo Integration Framework, Java, and BIRT report writing)
• Client Maximo 7.x installation and upgrade experience Maximo Migration Manager, Workflow Designer, Application Designer and Database Configuration applications that are used to configure Maximo
• Java and Python programming - Oracle PL/SQL development experience
Nice to have skills:
• Familiarity with US Government Client
