Summary

The Quality Manager aims to ensure that the product and service the organization provides is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements; this includes legal compliance and customer expectations, as well as coordinating the activities required to meet these quality standards. The Quality Manager is concerned with monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system and the Quality Department, by producing data and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards.

Set standards for quality by processing customer and interdepartmental requirements, formulate requirements into documented quality standards and communicate requirements to all BOMAG employees

Support the organization's ability to meet customer requirements by developing and implementing a robust quality management system, which aligns with governing bodies.

Improve overall quality performance by defining opportunities, measuring and analyzing relevant quality data, making recommendations for improvements, and creating controls to maintain.

Coordinate and lead quality training for all BOMAG employees

Evaluate field service reports and warranty information, create corrective actions to reduce or eliminate process discrepancies

Ensure all decisions comply with quality standards, including disposition of products that deviate from quality or engineering standards.

Evaluate, develop, train, and discipline supervised personnel. Ensure consistent communication and positive safety and labor relations.

Identify opportunities to optimize production processes and reduce defects, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Educate employees on quality procedures and standards.

Interact directly with the Vice President of Operations, Plant Supervisors, EHS and Maintenance Manager and other departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Service, Marketing, and Human Resources.

Maintain relationships/contacts with supplier representatives, supplier management teams, and quality assurance (QA) representatives.

Bachelor's degree in quality engineering or related field preferred

5 - 7 years in quality assurance/engineering role

1 - 3 years supervisory experience

Ability to work flexible schedule as needed.

Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.

Excellent communication and negotiation (verbal and written) with ability to develop strong professional working relationships across all levels of the organization and present data effectively.

Ability to adapt to changing work situations.

Strong quality orientation and high attention to detail, organized.

Independent, able to work without constant supervision.

Proficiency in MS office with comfort in Outlook, Excel and Word.
