We are seeking a
Public Safety Applications / Programmer Analyst to support mission-critical
CentralSquare CAD and RMS systems in a government/public safety environment. This role is hands-on and technical, focused on
SQL reporting, database queries, scripting/automation, and day-to-day operational support for police, fire, and/or EMS systems.
The ideal candidate has recent experience supporting
CentralSquare CAD/RMS, strong SQL skills, some scripting capability (PowerShell or similar), and a background in
public safety or local government IT. Experience with
Locution station alerting systems is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and enhance CentralSquare CAD and RMS applications in a production public safety environment
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data and generate operational and analytical reports
- Troubleshoot system, data, and application issues impacting dispatch and records workflows
- Design, maintain, and improve database objects including queries, tables, forms, and reports
- Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell or similar) to automate tasks and support system operations
- Assist with software upgrades, patches, and system changes
- Monitor system performance and resolve incidents affecting mission-critical services
- Document systems, processes, configurations, and changes for technical staff and end users
- Partner with police, fire, EMS, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years of hands-on CentralSquare CAD and RMS support experience
- Strong experience writing SQL queries and reports
- Experience working with relational databases
- Some experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Background supporting public safety, government, or 911 environments
- Experience supporting mission-critical, 24/7 systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Locution Station Alerting Systems
- Prior experience in police, fire, EMS, or 911 communications environments
- Experience supporting CAD/RMS integrations or data reporting requests
- Government or municipal IT experience
