The Special Hazards Inspection & Service Technician is responsible for the inspection,
testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and limited repair of special hazards fire suppression
systems. These systems are primarily clean agent-based, with some preaction detection and
release interfaces. This role requires strong technical knowledge of conventional and
addressable fire alarm/control panels, associated field devices, and system programming.
The technician will work independently at customer sites, ensure compliance with
applicable NFPA standards, and provide accurate inspection documentation and
professional customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on special hazards fire
suppression systems, including clean agent and preaction detection systems, in
accordance with applicable NFPA standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local codes.
Inspect and functionally test detection, releasing, and control equipment including
initiating devices, notification appliances, releasing circuits, aborts, manual releases,
and supervisory interfaces.
Program, configure, and troubleshoot both conventional and addressable fire alarm and
releasing control panels, including system logic, zoning, and cause-and-effect
programming.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
