Description:

Project Overview & Scope of Work

·       The scope of the Project Manager II role involves working at one of two nuclear power plants: Prairie Island or Monticello. The candidate will manage capital project scopes of work including, but not limited to, nuclear plant modifications and upgrades, equipment replacement, and facility upgrade projects.

·       Responsibilities may also include creating or revising long-term project plans, improving project estimates, managing project resources, and overseeing program-related projects.

Required Skills and Experience

·       5–7 years of cradle-to-grave project management experience

·       Experience managing projects valued at $1M or more

·       Nuclear power background strongly preferred

·       ABET-accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Nuclear Engineering background preferred

·       Construction experience preferred

·       Finance background is a plus

·       Familiarity with PMI PMBOK (Waterfall/Predictive project management) methodologies

·       Ex-Navy nuclear experience or prior utility/power plant experience preferred if commercial nuclear experience is not available

·       Experience with SAP, Unifier, UKG Workday, MS Project, and P6/Primavera is beneficial

Certifications:

·       PMP certification strongly preferred but not required

·       SRO certification or Operator License is beneficial from a plant knowledge perspective
