KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Create, maintain, and execute complex SQL/PL-SQL queries for data management, validation, and reporting.
Troubleshoot data issues and provide backend application support.
Manage data implementations, integrations, ingestion workflows, and production support.
Monitor data pipelines and ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and security.
Design and implement scalable, secure data architectures for enterprise applications.
Configure and support production solutions and services.
Analyze business processes and recommend process improvements.
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, software engineers, and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
Mentor junior engineers and promote data engineering best practices.
Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to gather and clarify requirements.
Provide after-hours or weekend production support when required.
Complete assigned work through ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA) within deadlines.
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and organizational data governance standards.
Work independently while contributing effectively within Agile/SAFe teams.
MUST HAVE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong Healthcare domain expertise, including:
Medical Claims
Pharmacy Claims
Enrollment Data
8+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL.
Strong knowledge of data mapping, data transformation, validation, and ETL/data ingestion processes.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Neo4j.
Working knowledge of cloud and big data technologies including AWS, Azure, Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, and Snowflake.
Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance.
Experience with Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe.
Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Experience mentoring junior team members.
Adherence to healthcare compliance, security, and organizational policies.
