Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Validation / Quality Engineer to support Collision Mitigation System (CMS) / Detect safety technology programs for heavy equipment applications.
The engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, troubleshooting, and documenting validation activities for embedded software and system-level safety features. The role involves working closely with software, systems, hardware, machine application, and validation teams to ensure product functionality, quality, and release readiness.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 5 7 years of relevant engineering experience
- Candidates with a Master's degree plus 4+ years of relevant experience may also be considered
- Relevant internship experience may count toward the experience requirement

- CAN / J1939

- Sensors such as:
- HIL / bench testing
- Machine-level validation
- Azure DevOps or similar workflow/defect-tracking tools
- Basic Python scripting
- CAD or engineering software tools
Key Responsibilities
- Support validation of Collision Mitigation System / Detect embedded safety features
- Review software and system requirements and develop corresponding validation tests
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, procedures, and reports
- Execute bench-level and machine-level validation activities
- Analyze logs, test data, and system behavior
- Document validation results and maintain evidence required for release readiness
- Perform issue triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Track defects and support resolution through closure
- Validate embedded controls, sensors, communication networks, and system integrations
- Support software and system release-quality activities
- Participate in design reviews, test reviews, and defect-resolution meetings
- Develop quality and reliability documentation
- Support testing and evaluation of product functionality and integrity
- Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, validation, and machine application teams
- Support continuous improvement of test coverage, validation processes, and product quality
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in embedded system validation rather than pure software development. They should be comfortable with test execution, troubleshooting, documentation, requirements verification, and working directly with embedded hardware and software systems.
