IT Change Management Analyst (ServiceNow & Compliance)

job summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented IT Change Management Analyst to facilitate the day-to-day operations of our change management process. You will be part of the Change Management Team within ServiceNow, ensuring every ticket is accurate, risk-assessed, and fully compliant with NIST standards before reaching production. This role is essential for maintaining operational stability and ensuring our IT environment meets all necessary audit and regulatory requirements.

responsibilities:

As a member of the Change Management team, you will be responsible for:

• ServiceNow Administration: Serve as a functional contributor to the Change module in ServiceNow; ensuring data integrity and proper workflow progression in alignment with team standards.
• Ticket Review: Conduct rigorous quality checks on all incoming change requests to ensure they meet mandatory audit documentation requirements.
• CAB Coordination: Assist in organizing and scribing for the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring all approvals and post-meeting notes are captured in the system.
• Compliance Support: Maintain "audit-ready" records. Assist the team in gathering evidence for NIST, ISO, or FedRAMP audits.
• Risk Monitoring: Identify potential scheduling conflicts or high-risk windows and escalate them to technical leads and team management.
• Reporting: Generate weekly change success and volume reports using ServiceNow's native reporting tools to support team objectives.

qualifications:

- Experience: 2-4 years of direct experience in IT Operations or IT Change Management.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow is a must. You should be comfortable navigating the CMDB and Change modules.

- Compliance Knowledge: Prior experience or familiarity with an environment governed by audit and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, FedRAMP).

- Frameworks: Strong knowledge of ITIL Foundation best practices for change management.

- Communication: Proven ability to coordinate with multiple teams and facilitate technical discussions during CAB meetings.

- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the professional "courage" to push back on technical teams when documentation or testing results are incomplete.
