Data Center Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Data Center Technician I in Boardman, OR.

Summary:
As a Data Center Technician, you serve as one of many primary resolvers for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You support and share knowledge of these technologies with team members. You possess basic to intermediate system administration skills and work autonomously to resolve server issues. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to take direction when given, paying attention to all details involved. You work well with a team. You are receptive to feedback and able to adjust performance and behavior as required for the position.

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED or equivalent
* 1-3 years of experience in data center operations or related technical field
* Basic networking knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP

Physical Environment and Safety Protocols:
* Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily
* Required to work in data center environments with variable temperature conditions
* Temperature fluctuations dependent on seasonal changes and external weather conditions
* Work areas may contain environmental allergens and airborne particles including dust

Physical Requirements:
* Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
* Standing/walking for extended periods
* Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
* Capability to work in various environmental conditions
* Temperature fluctuations dependent on seasonal changes and external weather conditions
* Work areas may contain environmental allergens and airborne particles including dust
* Ability to adapt to varying temperature conditions within the data center environment
* Ability to follow required security protocols including metal detection screening

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
