Job Summary:

We are seeking a Lead Commissioning Project Manager with 15+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector to oversee commissioning, startup, and operational turnover of power generation projects (wind, solar, battery storage). This role will act on behalf of the project owner, managing multiple projects and ensuring high-quality execution, safety compliance, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commissioning, startup, and operational turnover for renewable energy projects.
  • Manage and coordinate EPC contractors, OEMs, third-party vendors, and operations teams.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are executed with high quality and strict safety compliance.
  • Oversee multiple project sites and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Ensure project reliability during operational turnover with minimal downtime.
  • Review and ensure compliance with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Large Generator Interconnection Agreements (LGIA).
  • Interface with safety, engineering, and quality control teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for strategic planning, including safety, manpower, and efficiency improvements.
  • Track progress, provide reporting, and manage schedules across projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in renewable energy project management and commissioning
  • Minimum 5 years of on-site commissioning/startup experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with an EPC contractor
  • Strong experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work with both engineering and construction teams
