ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE
Medix is currently seeking a Manager of End User Computing for a long-term contract role with our Regional Health system client in the Southeast.
Our client is a non for profit Health System with several hospitals and ~70 clinical locations. This individual will be overseeing the End User Computing team members (~15) as well as the EUC practice spanning VDI, Citrix, VMware, MECM, Mobile Device Management, Epic Rovers and several clinical applications.
Specifically, we are seeking individuals who have previously worked in a Health System and have prior hands-on experience dealing with EMRs and Clinical Applications, understanding the unique intersection of clinical workflows and IT. Being able to develop a strong rapport across the aisles and with different teams in the Health System is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serving as a manager over, and leading a team of 15+ Infrastructure Engineers
- Leading from a strategy and change management perspective - collaborating closely with, and communicating effectively with cross-functional groups on all changes in IT.
- Establishing a strong rapport with end users, managers and leaders to gather feedback before changes roll out, and ensure a positive end-user experience
- Working closely with stakeholders in Business, Clinical and IT to gather feedback and address diverse business departments of end user computing.
- Evaluating clinical workflows and processes to ensure that any IT Changes offers a tangible value-add for users
- Working with a deep understanding of clinical workflows and the direct impact of IT infrastructure on patient care
- Driving optimizations and automations across the imaging deployment, desktop support, and mobile device management workflows.
- Partnering with in-house developers to explore LLMs and Agentic AI tools for automating and/or accelerating traditional EUC processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Subject matter technical experience in EUC Technologies: VDI, Citrix, VMWare, MECM, etc
- A past Engineer / Architect who has moved into, and is currently in a Manager /Leadership position
- Recent, deep experience working in a Hospital / Health System
- A strong understanding w/ the intersection of Clinical Workflows and IT Infrastructure (for example, Epic Rovers, Powerscribe Dictation)
- Exceptional proactive communication skills

- Regional Southeastern US candidates are preferred for the proximity of travel, which will be up to 20% of the time
