Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with 10+ years of software development experience and strong expertise in the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise application development, with a proven track record of building secure, scalable, and high-performance financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level banking applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external banking systems.

• Implement business functionalities for payments, fund transfers, transaction processing, account management, loans, and financial services.

• Design and optimize database schemas, SQL queries, and data access layers.

• Develop secure applications following banking security standards and best practices.

• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and performance optimization.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support for critical banking applications.

• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders.

• Implement unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.

• Work with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud-native technologies.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to coding standards and technical best practices.

• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

Required Technical Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.

• Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8/11/17+, OOP, Collections, Multithreading, and concurrency.

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, and JPA.

• Strong experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs.

• Expertise in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.

• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/Azure cloud environments is preferred.

• Strong understanding of application security, system integration, debugging, and performance tuning.

Banking & Financial Services Domain Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in the Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech industry.

• Experience developing and maintaining banking applications involving:

  • Payment processing and fund transfers

  • Retail or commercial banking

  • Credit/debit card processing

  • Account management and transaction processing

  • ACH, SWIFT, and payment integrations

  • Reconciliation and settlement systems

  • Digital and online banking platforms

• Understanding of financial transaction workflows, data security, audit trails, and regulatory compliance.

• Familiarity with ISO 20022, PCI DSS, or other relevant financial industry standards is an advantage.
