Job Title: Forward Deployment Engineer (AI-Native Engineering)
Location: Hybrid – Bloomfield, CT or Austin, TX
Employment Type: Contract W2
Rate: $93–95/hr on W2
Interview Process: Internal + Client
We are seeking an experienced Forward Deployment Engineer who thrives in an AI-first engineering environment. This role is ideal for a highly technical engineer who leverages Claude, Cursor, Codex, and modern LLM frameworks to build production-grade AI applications, intelligent agents, and full-stack solutions at exceptional speed.
You will own the complete software delivery lifecycle—from idea to production—building AI-powered applications, designing scalable cloud architectures, developing data pipelines, and working directly with stakeholders to solve complex business problems.
Top Required Skills:
AI Engineering (Claude, Cursor, Codex, LLMs & Agentic AI)
Full Stack Development (React, TypeScript, Python/Node.js)
Databricks, AWS & Cloud Data Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI agents and intelligent automation solutions using modern agentic design patterns.
Build AI-powered applications leveraging Claude, Cursor, Codex, Anthropic, OpenAI APIs, tool calling, function calling, and multi-turn context management.
Evaluate, validate, and improve non-deterministic LLM outputs while implementing guardrails and production-quality AI workflows.
Own the complete product lifecycle—from concept and architecture to implementation, deployment, and production support.
Design reusable AI agent skills, internal AI tooling, and engineering workflows that improve team productivity.
Develop frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
Build scalable backend services using Python or Node.js with REST and GraphQL APIs.
Design and maintain enterprise data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and cloud-native data platforms.
Deploy and manage applications on AWS using services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and Redshift.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to define technical solutions, recommend AI-driven approaches, and deliver business value.
Make architectural decisions regarding AI-driven versus deterministic software solutions.
Continuously simplify, optimize, and improve code quality, maintainability, and system performance.
Deliver innovative solutions using AI-assisted development practices that significantly accelerate software delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience building AI-powered applications using Claude, Cursor, Codex, Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar LLM platforms.
Hands-on experience with AI agents, Agentic AI, tool/function calling, MCP, LangChain, or similar orchestration frameworks.
Strong frontend development skills using React and TypeScript.
Backend development expertise with Python or Node.js.
Experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, notebooks, and enterprise data workflows.
Strong AWS experience including S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, and cloud-native application deployment.
Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and production systems.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to independently drive technical decisions from ideation through production deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
Experience with Streamlit, Tableau, or Evidence for data visualization.
Experience building enterprise AI copilots, autonomous agents, and intelligent workflow automation.
Strong understanding of prompt engineering, AI evaluation frameworks, and LLM optimization techniques.
If you are passionate about AI-native software engineering and enjoy building intelligent, production-scale applications using the latest Generative AI technologies, we encourage you to apply with your updated resume.
