Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) – Austin, TX OR Warren MI
Employment Type: Contract
Rate: $60.00 Per hour

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a dynamic team working on modern SAP solutions. This role involves building, enhancing, and supporting applications across SAP landscapes, including cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ABAP and exposure to SAP BTP and Fiori technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP solutions including custom enhancements and integrations
Participate in full project lifecycle activities: requirements gathering, development, testing, and post-go-live support
Collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Build and extend applications using SAP BTP and modern SAP development frameworks
Follow clean core principles and adopt cloud-first development approaches
Create and maintain technical documentation such as design specs, test cases, and user guides

Required Skills & Experience

5–7+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
Strong knowledge of modern ABAP concepts including RESTful programming and CDS views
Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData services
Familiarity with SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI/CO, or similar
Exposure to SAP BTP tools like Business Application Studio and Git-based version control
Experience working in SAP HANA / S/4HANA environments, including upgrade or migration projects
Knowledge of integration techniques such as IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, SOAP, and REST APIs
Experience developing or supporting cloud-based SAP applications

Preferred Qualifications

SAP certifications are a plus
Experience with SAP cloud offerings and modern extensibility approaches
Strong understanding of clean core and cloud adoption strategies

Soft Skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to clearly document technical solutions
Self-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
