Summary

We are looking for an experienced Translations Engineer to support and enhance our voice network infrastructure. This role focuses on configuring and maintaining call routing, trunk provisioning, and translation tables within telecom switching systems.

You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate call routing, seamless connectivity, and network reliability across the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

Key Responsibilities

Configure and manage translations (routing tables) in voice switching systems
Perform trunk provisioning and call routing configurations
Implement network changes related to projects, upgrades, and new services
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to call failures, routing errors, and billing discrepancies
Analyze and optimize routing for performance and efficiency
Support cross-functional teams with technical expertise in voice networking
Ensure compliance with telecom regulatory requirements
Document changes and maintain accurate system records

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in telecom voice network / switching environments
Strong hands-on experience with translations (core tables)
Experience working on C20 switching platform
Solid experience in trunk provisioning and call routing
Familiarity with telecom protocols such as:
- SIP
- SS7 (Q.764)
- ISDN (Q.931)
Experience using tools like:
- PuTTY / SecureCRT (or similar telnet clients)
- MS Excel / Notepad for configurations
Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
