We are seeking
Data Center Technicians to support a large technology client in
Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role is hands-on and physical, ideal for technicians with experience in
data center environments, structured cabling, or construction sites who are comfortable working with cabling, racks, and network infrastructure.
No license is required. Strong work ethic and technical aptitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment
- Pull, route, dress, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling (coax, Cat5, Cat6, and fiber)
- Assemble and install server cabinets, ladder rack, and infrastructure components
- Perform field terminations and understand wiring schemes and labeling standards
- Install, connect, and decommission network equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and design documentation
- Maintain data center cleanliness and deliver high-quality workmanship
- Follow all safety, production, and quality standards
- Communicate project progress and collaborate with team members to remove obstacles
Required Qualifications- Experience in data centers, structured cabling, or construction environments
- Familiarity with low-voltage cabling (coax, fiber, Cat5, Cat6)
- Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools
- Ability to perform terminations, punch-downs, testing, and labeling
- Understanding of wiring schemes and basic cable testing
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labor
- Comfortable working on ladders, raised floors, and elevated platforms
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Nice-to-Have Skills- Racking and infrastructure installation
- MDF and IDF closet layout and cable dressing
- Copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting
- Ladder rack and seismic bracing installation
- Fusion splicing or fiber furcation experience
Work Environment- Active data center environment
- Fast-paced, project-based work
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Physical work including lifting, pulling cable, and equipment handling

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
