Role: Palantir Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Remote)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Palantir Foundry, along with working knowledge of Amazon Web Services environments and strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design, build, and deploy scalable data-driven applications that solve complex aerospace-related challenges. The focus is on rapidly translating requirements into working prototypes and evolving them into production-grade solutions using Foundry’s ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to understand requirements and quickly build MVP solutions, then scale them into robust production applications.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Palantir Foundry using Pipeline Builder for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Develop modular applications and workflows using Python, PySpark, and Foundry AIP capabilities.
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to define data models, ontology structures, and mapping strategies.
• Facilitate Foundry workshops and support stakeholders in adopting platform features effectively.
• Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization of Foundry-based applications.
• Work with aerospace-related datasets to derive insights, patterns, and trends using Foundry and AWS analytics services.
• Build custom solutions and workflows within Foundry and AWS to address domain-specific challenges.
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance aligned with aerospace industry standards.
• Apply lean and agile practices to continuously improve processes and solution delivery.
• Provide feedback to product teams to help enhance Foundry and AWS ecosystem capabilities.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on expertise with Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, application development, and AIP workflows.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services such as:
  • EC2
  • S3
  • Lambda
  • RDS
  • CloudWatch
  • CloudFormation
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for data processing and application development.
• Experience working with Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data integration, transformation, and analytics workflows.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to frontend development frameworks such as React for building user interfaces.
• Experience working in agile or lean delivery environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise data modeling and ontology design.

• Experience delivering end-to-end data solutions from prototype to production.
• Comfortable working across engineering, analytics, and business teams.
