Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Armonk, NY.

Overview:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions. This role is ideal for someone with foundational to intermediate experience who is eager to grow within a modern data ecosystem leveraging platforms like Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using PySpark within cloud-based environments
* Work within Palantir Foundry to ingest, transform, and manage data assets for analytics and operational use
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions
* Support data integration efforts across multiple sources (structured and unstructured)
* Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and performance tuning across pipelines
* Contribute to data modeling, schema design, and data governance best practices
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues in production environments

REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-5 years of experience in data engineering or related field
* Hands-on experience with PySpark and distributed data processing frameworks
* Exposure to or working knowledge of Palantir Foundry
* Experience working in Azure environments (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, etc.)
* Familiarity with Databricks for data processing and pipeline orchestration
* Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts
* Experience working with large-scale datasets and ETL/ELT processes

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
* Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks
* Familiarity with Python beyond PySpark (e.g., scripting, automation)
* Understanding of Agile development methodologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
