Senior Data & Analytics Consultant to support data enablement and management initiatives within the Chief Administrative Office (CAO). In this role, you will gather business requirements, perform complex data analysis, develop scalable data models, and help define enterprise-wide data standards. You will work independently across multiple workstreams and collaborate closely with business and technology partners to deliver impactful, reusable data solutions.
This position plays a key role in shaping how data is leveraged across critical CAO functions.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine data use-case requirements.
- Design scalable and accurate data models, including data element relationships and architecture.
- Develop requirements for data source integrity monitoring and data validation.
- Support database enhancement requests and contribute to logical data design.
- Maintain documentation such as data lineage, metadata, and data-sharing agreements.
- Assess upstream system changes for data impacts and recommend corrective actions.
- Translate business needs into actionable data specifications and technical requirements.
- Work with technology and data governance teams to align with enterprise standards.
Required Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Management, or related fields (experience may include consulting, training, military, or education).
- Strong proficiency in MSSQL including writing, reading, and optimizing queries.
- Hands-on experience with data cleansing, validation, profiling, and transformation (Alteryx, SSMS).
- Experience defining data sourcing requirements, transformation logic, and database specifications.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data governance practices, and root-cause analysis for data quality issues.
Soft Skills- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and experience engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and driving clarity.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Google Cloud data tools (BigQuery, Dataplex, etc.).
- Familiarity with SSIS packages and jobs.
- Experience working in Agile environments and using Atlassian/Jira.
Job Details- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day
- Location Requirement: 3 days per week in office (currently 7th floor)
