Role Overview
An experienced Development Product Owner (DPO) is sought to support the integration of a new financial services application into enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (AML) systems. This is a hands-on role embedded with Scrum teams, responsible for feature refinement, Jira documentation, integration requirements, and business validation in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate is experienced with Agile delivery and brings banking or compliance domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead feature refinement and backlog grooming sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Capture and document detailed software and integration requirements, including source-to-target mappings and data transformations.
- Create and manage features and user stories in Jira, ensuring readiness for development.
- Decompose features into detailed stories and support sprint planning activities.
- Participate in all Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain UAT/PVT test plans and support validation activities.
- Perform business validation to confirm functional and regulatory requirements are met prior to production deployment.
- Support integrations between origination systems, servicing platforms, enterprise data environments, and AML applications.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Development Product Owner or similar Agile product role.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting Scrum teams in an Agile environment.
- Hands-on experience with Jira for feature and story management.
- Experience working in banking or other regulated environments.
- Proven experience with system and data integrations, including API-based data flows.
- Documentation skills for software specifications and integration requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AML transaction monitoring and screening platforms, such as Actimize SAM, Actimize CDD, Actimize ActOne, or Bridger Insight XG.
- Experience with regulatory, screening, or compliance systems.
- Prior experience developing UAT or validation test plans.
- Experience acting in a business validator or pre-production review role.
- Knowledge of data governance and information security concepts.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is between $55.00/hr and $75.00/hr on a W2 basis. The contract term is 9 months with the potential for extension.
