Job Description:
• The Network Engineer – Cloud & Network Security will strengthen the ability to deliver safe, secure, and reliable technology services by modernizing network architecture and improving the agency’s overall security posture.
• This role ensures that network connectivity and firewall configurations protect systems, data, and the traveling public while enabling the secure migration of applications from on-premises environments to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Minimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
• 8–12 years of experience as a network engineer in large, complex enterprise or government environments.
• Extensive experience designing, reviewing, and governing firewall and network security architectures.
• Expert knowledge of networking and network security principles, including segmentation, routing, secure connectivity, and defense in depth.
• Proven experience supporting hybrid on premises and multi cloud network environments.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a technical authority and security advisor.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Experience with cloud networking and security in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, or AWS.
• Knowledge of policies, state security standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting application modernization initiatives that improve security and resilience.
