The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is seeking a visionary PLC & Robotics Engineer to spearhead automation excellence within a high-output manufacturing environment. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between traditional industrial processes and cutting-edge robotics to maximize production throughput. You won’t just be maintaining systems; you will be the primary architect of efficiency, transforming complex technical challenges into streamlined, high-performance manufacturing solutions for a leader in the fabricated metal products sector.


What You’ll Do

  • Architect and deploy advanced control logic and PLC programs to synchronize sophisticated machinery and robotic cells.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current manufacturing workflows and integrating automated enhancements.

  • Champion the design and implementation of robotic systems to reduce manual intervention and elevate safety standards.

  • Synthesize complex data from production cycles to identify bottlenecks and engineer mechanical or software-based remedies.

  • Troubleshoot intricate automation hardware and software issues to ensure minimal downtime in a fast-paced production setting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine manufacturing methods and validate new production equipment.


What You Bring

  • Technical Foundation: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

  • Professional Tenacity: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience navigating the complexities of industrial automation and robotics.

  • Programming Mastery: Proven expertise in developing PLC code and configuring robotic interfaces within a manufacturing context.

  • Lean Mindset: Deep familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and a track record of boosting production efficiencies.

  • Operational Agility: The ability to manage on-site engineering projects in the Greater Waterloo, NY region with a focus on long-term scalability.
