Job Title: Functional Analyst
Location: Miami, FL
Job Type: W2 contract

The Functional Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role focuses on understanding business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring that solutions meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders
  • Understand current business processes and identify gaps or improvement areas
  • Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and use cases
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the SDLC
  • Support system design by validating functional flows and business logic
  • Assist in test case preparation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution
  • Ensure delivered solutions align with business expectations and objectives
  • Provide functional support during implementation and post-deployment
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement review sessions
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into functional solutions
  • Experience with requirement-gathering tools and documentation standards
  • Basic understanding of databases, APIs, or system integrations (preferred)
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in ERP, CRM, or enterprise applications
  • Knowledge of domain-specific processes (Banking, Healthcare, Retail, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
