Job Title: Functional Analyst

Location: Miami, FL

Job Type: W2 contract

The Functional Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role focuses on understanding business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring that solutions meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders
Understand current business processes and identify gaps or improvement areas
Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and use cases
Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams
Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the SDLC
Support system design by validating functional flows and business logic
Assist in test case preparation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution
Ensure delivered solutions align with business expectations and objectives
Provide functional support during implementation and post-deployment
Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement review sessions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, or related field
Proven experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Waterfall methodologies
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Ability to translate complex business needs into functional solutions
Experience with requirement-gathering tools and documentation standards
Basic understanding of databases, APIs, or system integrations (preferred)

Preferred Skills

Experience in ERP, CRM, or enterprise applications
Knowledge of domain-specific processes (Banking, Healthcare, Retail, etc.)
Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or MS Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
