IT Project Manager (Contract)
Location: Atlanta Metro Area, GA
On site or hybrid; candidates must reside in the Atlanta metropolitan area
Initial 4 month contract with potential extension based on performance and business needs

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team and lead critical infrastructure projects that directly support business performance and stability. This role plays a key part in driving successful delivery of network, server, cloud, and hardware initiatives. The ideal candidate excels in fast paced environments and brings strong capability working within Agile frameworks.
In this position, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, manage both large complex initiatives and smaller rapid delivery efforts, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. You will leverage Atlassian tools for tracking, documentation, and service management, while applying ITIL best practices to maintain service quality and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end to end infrastructure projects including scoping, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and transition to operations
• Manage a mix of complex long range initiatives and smaller quick turnaround infrastructure projects
• Use JIRA for backlog management, sprint planning, and project tracking, and Confluence for documentation and knowledge repositories
• Utilize JIRA Service Management to support incident, change, request, and service delivery processes
• Apply ITIL principles to ensure structured service management and adherence to SLAs
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies to support collaboration, alignment, and continuous improvement
• Coordinate cross functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes
• Identify and mitigate risks while managing issues, dependencies, and project changes
• Provide clear and consistent reporting to leadership and project stakeholders
Key Requirements
• 5 or more years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects using Agile methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• ITIL Foundation certification required; advanced ITIL certifications preferred
• Demonstrated expertise with Atlassian tools including JIRA, Confluence, and JIRA Service Management (certifications strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of infrastructure domains such as cloud platforms, network upgrades, server migrations, or data center initiatives
• Experience leading Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid Agile approaches
• Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Must reside in the Atlanta Metro Area
Preferred Certifications
• PMP
• PMI ACP or CSM
• PRINCE2 Practitioner
• Additional advanced ITIL or project management certifications
Skills and Competencies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, project planning applications, and Agile reporting dashboards
• Experience with cloud platforms or modern infrastructure technologies a plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced environment
