We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to support and maintain a complex enterprise networking environment. This on-site opportunity is ideal for a seasoned networking professional with strong hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure and the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
The environment includes Cisco, Aruba, and Arista networking platforms supporting enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and network security technologies.
This role will focus on maintaining highly available network infrastructure while assisting with troubleshooting, system improvements, and ongoing operational reliability. The engineer will partner with internal teams to ensure the network environment continues to perform efficiently and securely.
Support day-to-day operation of enterprise network infrastructure with an emphasis on availability, stability, and performance
Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain reliable networking services
Configure and support Cisco routing platforms
Maintain switching infrastructure built on Cisco, Aruba, and Arista technologies
Assist with administration of enterprise wireless networks utilizing Cisco and Aruba controllers
Support enterprise firewall technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet
Work with application delivery and load balancing systems
Maintain network access control platforms including ISE and ClearPass
Troubleshoot and support routing protocols including SD-WAN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and VRF environments
Support switching technologies such as VLAN trunking, EtherChannel, Spanning Tree, DHCP Snooping, and VXLAN
Investigate and resolve network incidents related to firewalls, VPN connectivity, and infrastructure performance issues
Monitor network systems to proactively identify security concerns or performance degradation
Maintain detailed documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures
Analyze network performance trends and recommend improvements where needed
Track and resolve technical issues using the organization s ticketing system
Collaborate with engineering team members to improve operational processes and infrastructure reliability
Stay up to date with new networking and security technologies through training and ongoing research
Assist with network security architecture and integration initiatives
Perform other related technical responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
Professional networking certification such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent experience
5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise network environments
Strong experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPN technologies, wireless access points, controllers, and monitoring platforms
Experience deploying or supporting enterprise wireless networks
Ability to create and maintain clear network documentation and diagrams
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
