Our client is seeking a Solution Architect New Ventures in Orlando, FL / Remote.
Responsibilities
The Solution Architect will design and deliver integrated solutions for hospitality and resort technology platforms.
This includes POS systems (Oracle Simphony), global inventory management, and financial integrations.
The architect will ensure solutions meet standards for security, scalability, and maintainability, while embracing event-driven architectures, AI-driven workflows, and cloud-native patterns.
Strategy & Planning: Define architecture strategies to align with enterprise standards, research emerging technologies (AI, automation).
Solution Design: Architect integrations for POS, financial, and hospitality systems, design API-first microservices, deliver diagrams and artifacts.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure seamless integrations.
Proven experience in designing and implementing integrations across diverse platforms using modern architectural patterns (e.g., API-first, microservices, event-driven architecture).
Strong understanding of integration frameworks, API gateways, and secure communication protocols.
Ability to produce technical artifacts such as sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration models.
Solid knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems and integrations.
Familiarity with cloud-native principles and scalable architectures (vendor-agnostic).
Experience with SAP Cloud products (SAP S/4HANA, BTP).
Oracle Micros Simphony or POS integrations.
Oracle Opera knowledge or hospitality technology integrations.
Experience with Azure cloud, AI agents, workflow automation.
Exposure to global inventory management platforms.
Knowledge of real-time data streaming and observability tooling.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
9+ years of IT experience with large integrated projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Repeatedly demonstrated ability to produce requirement artifacts: data flow diagrams, UML modeling techniques include sequence, component, deployment and domain models.
An expert level background in software development with ability to code at some level and knowledge of APIs and SDKs.
A technical architecture background with an understanding of high-level networks, routers, switches, firewalls, BGP, caching, SANs, servers, and operating systems form a part of the solution stack.
Strong experience with reverse proxies, web servers, API gateways, service-oriented architectures, web services (REST), microservice patterns, service buses and integration patterns, security practices, database technologies.
Proven experience with databases and data storage including NoSQL and SQL databases, along with in memory key value stores.
Demonstrable experience in solution architecture
Demonstrable experience in integration solution design.
