This position provides technical leadership for unified communications services spanning on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments while helping ensure dependable performance and a consistent user experience. The role works closely with infrastructure, networking, audiovisual, security, and support teams to deliver scalable solutions and guide major deployment initiatives.

Oversee interoperability between cloud-based collaboration tools, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and existing on-premises Cisco platforms.
Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for advanced issues involving signaling, call routing, media performance, and platform uptime.
Work with network and infrastructure teams to align communications solutions with routing, switching, wireless, quality of service, firewall, identity, and cloud connectivity standards.
Direct the unified communications scope for office launches, renovation projects, hardware refresh efforts, and broader platform modernization programs.
Translate business and technical needs into structured features and user stories within an Agile delivery framework.
Develop and maintain global standards, reference designs, implementation models, and operational documentation for collaboration services.
Assess emerging technologies, software updates, and firmware releases, then coordinate controlled deployment plans across the enterprise.
Partner with audiovisual, security, service desk, facilities, real estate, and external vendors to deliver a reliable and consistent collaboration experience worldwide.

Requirements

At least 12 years of unified communications engineering experience within a large, geographically distributed enterprise environment.
Deep hands-on knowledge of Cisco collaboration platforms, including CUCM, Unity Connection, Expressway, Webex, Jabber, RoomOS, UCCX, and related unified communications technologies.
Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and similar cloud collaboration platforms in hybrid enterprise deployments.
Strong understanding of networking concepts that affect real-time communications, including LAN, WAN, quality of service, latency, jitter, and packet loss.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex call flow, signaling, and service availability issues in enterprise voice and collaboration systems.
Experience integrating communications platforms with identity services, security controls, and core network infrastructure.
Ability to work independently, provide architectural leadership, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant collaboration certifications are preferred.
