Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Data Developer to plan, define, and deliver data platform and business intelligence solutions supporting complex business initiatives. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions while collaborating closely with business, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has experience working with enterprise data platforms, healthcare data, cloud technologies, and business intelligence tools, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and document detailed functional, technical, and business requirements for data platform solutions and related initiatives of varying complexity.
Prepare clear and effective business and technical documentation to support development teams and end users.
Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and obtain feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to project plans in alignment with established PMO standards and procedures.
Communicate milestones, delivery timelines, and dependencies based on capacity and prioritization.
Ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet defined business and technical requirements.
Investigate, design, and implement new data solutions as well as major upgrades or enhancements to existing platforms.
Perform and support complex data analysis, translating business needs into enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
Participate in and lead requirements and solution review sessions related to data platform implementations.
Work with Architects, Developers, Project Managers, and Analysts to present requirements and define use cases.
Translate business requirements into clearly defined technical requirements for development teams.
Lead and participate in presentations of requirements and analysis results to management, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
Support data training initiatives to ensure end users fully understand data warehouse, BI platforms, and reporting solutions.
Cross-train and mentor peers within subject matter and technical expertise areas.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining end-to-end data platform requirements.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain and propose solutions to business users, technical stakeholders, and vendors.
Experience working with highly sensitive healthcare data, with knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy regulations.
Thorough knowledge of enterprise data warehouse and data solutions.
Strong data analytics and data profiling skills.
Advanced SQL querying expertise.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services and cloud-based databases such as Snowflake.
Working knowledge of at least one Business Intelligence tool (e.g., Tableau and/or Cognos).
Ability to participate in and lead presentations of analysis results to diverse stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare industry experience.
Strong documentation and presentation skills.
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Experience with Snowflake data platforms.
Experience building and maintaining Tableau reports and dashboards.
