IT Cloud Administrator – Azure Infrastructure (Contract)

Location: Houston, TX (or Remote/Hybrid if applicable, local candidates preferred)

Duration: ~90-120 day contract

We are partnering with a client on an immediate need for an IT Cloud Administrator to support Azure infrastructure and ongoing cloud operations within a live enterprise environment. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role centered around Azure networking, DNS alignment, and controlled infrastructure changes.

This position is ideal for a systems/infrastructure professional who has transitioned into Azure and is comfortable working in structured, change-managed environments while communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate existing Azure network configurations including VNets, subnetting, and connectivity
• Ensure proper DNS alignment across Azure and hybrid Active Directory environments
• Execute approved infrastructure changes within defined change control windows
• Support Azure virtual infrastructure (VM readiness, environment setup, and configuration alignment)
• Monitor system health and assist with troubleshooting across Azure environments
• Work within ticketing and change management systems (ServiceNow or similar)
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and system updates
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and business teams to ensure stability and compliance

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting Azure or hybrid cloud environments
• Strong experience with:
  • Azure networking (VNets, subnetting, DNS)
  • Windows Server and Active Directory
• Hands-on experience executing infrastructure changes in controlled / ITIL environments
• Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)
• Ability to troubleshoot and support infrastructure in a live production environment
• Strong communication skills — able to clearly explain technical concepts and changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or similar certification
• Experience in consulting or MSP environments
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (on-prem + Azure)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
