Summary

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

Review design documents and validate functionality for defect resolutions and new enhancements based on approved designs.

Monitor and report on the System Development Contractor s performance during all testing phases under the CFS Project contract.

Manage vendor testing activities by reviewing test scripts, execution results, and batch logs to ensure thorough and complete testing.

Prepare and maintain test data, including interface data files, for executing test scripts.

Develop and execute test scripts, including regression tests, to validate system functionality.

Analyze and document test results; identify, reproduce, and report defects to the development and test teams.

Participate in functional design sessions, Incident Review Meetings as needed

Perform data analysis and root cause analysis for defects and production issues.

Identify process improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.

Analyze production data, including errors, and deliver root cause analysis to the functional lead.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years experience preparing, documenting, and executing test criteria, test cases, test scripts, and test plans for IT systems projects
  • 2+ years experience testing on Child Support Enforcement System Development projects
  • 2+ years of experience with Component testing, Integration Testing, Security Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Acceptance Testing

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager
  • Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with Automated Testing tools
  • Experience with Selenium

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and review the work of the testing team
  • Ability to use MS Office, SharePoint, and WebEx tools effectively
  • Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively with technical, non-technical staff, customers/stakeholders (State and Federal) and executives
