Quality Assurance Analysts

Candidate MUST have AS400 experience to be considered..

• Understands Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
• Attends and participates in all team meetings, including daily stand-up meetings, grooming meetings, etc., communicating the status of assigned testing tasks on a project.
• Works closely with project Quality Assurance Analysts, Developers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters and/or Project Managers, and QA Test Manager, throughout various stages of each project.
• Participates in test planning & estimation of assigned tasks.
• Analyzes functional requirements and other available documentation/information provided to write test conditions, scenarios & leading high-level Test Scenarios review with team.
• Writes clear test cases with test steps (using shared steps and parameters when applicable) and expected results, based on approved high-level test scenarios. Also, document traceability from test cases to all functional requirements.
• Performs test execution functional, integration, system, regression testing, etc. within the project timeline & documents test results.
• Documents and effectively communicate issues found during test execution in a timely manner. Verifies defect fixes for resolution through to closure.
• Communicates any impediments of assigned tasks to the team in a timely manner.
• Writes documentation - Test Plans, Test Summaries, etc.
• Assists in analyzing customer-reported issues for QA coverage improvement.
• Adheres to company TCoP (Testing Community of Practice) procedures to ensure the best practices for metrics reporting and positive project outcomes.
• Willingness to cross train in other company applications to gain knowledge and assist other teams when necessary.

WorkExperience:

• Required: Minimum 5 years experience as a QA Analyst
• Required: Minimum 3 years experience testing AS400 Applications

Licenses/Certifications:

• Desired: QA/QC Certification or equivalent.

Platforms/Technical:

• [Mandatory] Experience with Azure DevOps - ADO (aka VSTS), OR another similar tool like HP Quality Center, JIRA, etc.
• [Mandatory] Experience in testing web-based applications, middleware, back-end jobs.
• [Mandatory] Experience in testing AS400 applications.
• [Mandatory] Knowledge of RESTAPI required (API testing, Console APP testing).
• [Mandatory] Knowledge in writing/ executing SQL queries.
• [Optional] Experience working in healthcare projects.
