SALARY: $140,000 - $180,000
Bonus Target: 10% and pre IPO stocks
Senior Agent Test Automation Engineer
The key to this role is testing endpoint security products
Need to have windows security application background, understanding of windows internals, they are going to be developing features, they need to know Python and PyTest. Rust, and C++ is a definite plus.
These are MacOS and Linux so familiarity with both is definitely an advantage
When they mention agent testing, that is their backend portal, that is their backend internals or security platform
The preference is that they were once a developer or currently a developer/tester but they must WANT TO do testing.
This person can be located in the states and in Canada!
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and contribute to validation testing of new product features and bug fixes
- Document and develop automated tests aligned to the features we’re developing and bug reports
- Design, document, and develop tools to assist with testing
- Contribute to and follow our Coding Style guidelines
- Able to deliver quality results working autonomously and as part of a unit
- Technical documentation of test plans, automation implementation architectures, and test reports
- Be a part of the company culture’s growth
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to develop in Python using the Pytest framework
- Test design creativity
- Understanding and experience with communications channels such as RESTful API and gRPC
- Ability to troubleshoot Windows applications using tools such as debuggers, system profilers, and process monitors
- Knowledge and experience using virtualization tools such as VMWare
- Familiarity with SQL
- Experience testing Windows endpoint agent applications
- Experience testing Linux endpoint agent applications
- Good written and verbal communication with an ability to write technical documentation
- Fast-paced startup, past work experience
Bonus Skills and Qualifications:
- Past work experience in testing and delivering an enterprise-level security product
- Experience with macOS virtualization and testing
- Knowledge of the Windows Security Model
- Knowledge of the Linux Security Model
- Knowledge of the MacOS Security Model
- Knowledge of additional languages: Rust, C++
- Experience with Windows performance testing and benchmarking
- Familiarity with the AWS Cloud
- Background using GitHub for CI/CD purposes
