Software Engineer - Java, Python, Financial Services

Location: Iselin, NJ or Charlotte, NC 3 Days Onsite

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Java and Python , Software Developer expertise to support a major initiative with a leading financial services organization. This role will focus on modernizing legacy systems by migrating existing Python-based functionality into modern Java microservices architecture.

The ideal candidate will be a hands on engineer comfortable working across both Java and Python environments, contributing to system design, development, and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Python (approximately 50/50 split).
  • Support the migration of legacy Python systems into modern Java-based microservices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile development environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and engineering best practices.
