Description
We are seeking an AI Software Engineer who is excited about building and integrating advanced AI capabilities into healthcare-oriented applications. This role partners closely with data scientists, engineers, and healthcare experts to create AI-driven solutions that improve outcomes, increase efficiency, and deliver meaningful value to clients and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with a working knowledge of artificial intelligence, a curiosity for emerging technologies, and an appreciation for how AI can modernize healthcare business processes.
Key Responsibilities
AI Model Implementation & Integration
Develop, implement, and integrate pre-trained AI and large language models into production applications using Python or C#, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
Solution Design & Collaboration
Partner with data scientists and engineers to design AI-powered solutions aligned with business objectives and client needs.
Cross-Functional Enablement
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to seamlessly embed AI capabilities into existing systems, applications, and workflows.
Application Development
Design, build, maintain, and scale AI-driven applications that improve operational efficiency and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Diagnose and resolve AI-related issues while optimizing model performance, application stability, and system reliability.
Continuous Learning
Stay current with evolving AI tools, frameworks, and best practices, applying new insights to enhance existing solutions.
Data Alignment & Quality
Ensure strong alignment between AI models and data requirements by collaborating with data teams on pipelines, validation, and quality standards.
Documentation & Standards
Maintain clear documentation and follow best practices in secure software development, responsible AI usage, and ethical considerations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
0-2 years of experience in software development with exposure to AI or machine learning applications
Experience working with foundational model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, LLaMA)
Proficiency in Python and/or C#
Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and tooling such as LangChain, OpenAI SDKs, LlamaIndex, PromptFlow, PyTorch, or similar
Experience integrating pre-trained AI models into production applications
Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and natural language processing
Familiarity with modern software development practices, version control, and agile methodologies
Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and large-scale data environments such as data lakes, analytics platforms, or distributed processing systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Knowledge of healthcare technology and regulatory considerations is a plus
