Description Our company is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Oracle Database administration with recent hands-on experience in Oracle 19c and 23ai, Oracle Sharding, upgrade planning and execution, and replication technologies such as Oracle GoldenGate. Familiarity with PostgreSQL administration is also essential. You'll play a key role in maintaining mission-critical databases, ensuring data integrity and security, and supporting modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer, maintain, and support Oracle databases (19c, 23ai) in production and development environments.
- Plan and perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching.
- Implement and manage Oracle Sharding solutions for distributed environments.
- Configure and support Oracle GoldenGate for high-availability and data replication.
- Develop and optimize backup and recovery strategies.
- Monitor performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Document configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Support and administer PostgreSQL databases as part of a multi-platform environment.
- Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.
Requirements Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise with Oracle Database versions 19c and/or 23ai.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Sharding deployment and management.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Oracle GoldenGate for data replication.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration.
- Strong understanding of database security and compliance requirements.
- Analytical, problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills:- Oracle Certification (OCP, OCM, or similar) is a plus.
- Cloud database deployment experience (OCI, AWS, Azure) is an advantage.
- Experience with automation (Ansible, Shell scripting, PL/SQL).
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
