Job Title: Quality Control / Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: White Sands Missile Range, NM
About the Role
This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control and inspection processes to ensure products meet internal quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements. The position works closely with operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams to support continuous quality improvement across raw materials, components, and finished products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement testing and inspection procedures for raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and finished products
Perform quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with internal specifications, quality standards, and government regulations
Review and analyze test results to determine product conformity and identify trends or deviations
Advise manufacturing and operations teams on quality control standards and best practices
Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address nonconformities and improve product quality
Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards
Create, update, and maintain plant quality control manuals, procedures, and work instructions
Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally to support quality planning and risk mitigation efforts
Basic Qualifications
3-5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance
Working knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards
Military hands-on experience working with ordnance and explosives, including rockets and missiles
Experience testing, inspecting, or auditing products against defined quality requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
Experience working in regulated manufacturing or high-reliability environments
Technical Skills
Quality Assurance / Quality Control (2-4 years)
Quality Management Systems (QMS) experience (1-2 years)
Familiarity with inspection methods, documentation control, and corrective action processes
