3Core Systems is looking for SAP IS-U Lead Architect for one of our clients in Phoenix, AZ
Role: SAP IS-U Lead Architect
Location: Hybrid Phoenix, AZ (2 3 days onsite per week) -Travel expenses reimbursed.
Duration: 12 Months
MUST HAVE: SAP IS-U and Utility industry Priority: Local Phoenix, AZ candidates are preferred. Travel expenses reimbursed.

Responsibilities: Enterprise Solution Architecture & Design
- Own end-to-end SAP IS-U / S/4HANA Utilities architecture
- Lead blueprinting, high-level design, and integration strategy
- Architect across Billing, FICA, Device Management/AMI, EDM, Customer Service, CRM, PM/EAM, MM, and third-party ecosystems
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Establish solution governance, standards, and utilities best practices
- Provide oversight for greenfield, brownfield, ECC to S/4HANA migrations, upgrades, and optimization programs
Industry Expertise & Innovation
- Lead utilities transformations (electric, gas, water, renewables)
- Architect AMI/smart metering, digital customer experience, and regulatory solutions
- Drive roadmap leveraging SAP BTP, BRF+, Fiori, and cloud/RISE with SAP
Integrated Design & Integration Oversight
- Govern back-office and front-office integration
- Lead architecture for third-party interfaces and hybrid landscapes
Workshops & Executive Alignment
- Facilitate executive workshops and CRPs
- Translate complex requirements into scalable enterprise architecture
- Present solutions to C-level stakeholders
Quality & Delivery Assurance
- Guide SIT, UAT, performance testing strategies
- Oversee EMIGALL/LTMC data migration
- Lead cutover planning and post-go-live optimization
Team & Vendor Leadership
- Mentor senior architects and consultants
- Govern large cross-functional onshore/offshore teams
Required Skills:
- 10 15+ years SAP IS-U / Utilities experience
- Multiple full lifecycle implementations including S/4HANA migrations
- Proven Lead Architect / Principal Consultant experience
- Deep expertise in:
- Billing & Invoicing
- SAP FICA
- Device Management / AMI / EDM
- Customer Service & Work Management
- Strong S/4HANA Utilities architecture experience
- ABAP, BRF+, integration technologies
- Data migration tools (EMIGALL, LTMC)
- Experience with cloud and RISE with SAP environments
- Bachelor s degree required; SAP Certified Solution Architect preferred

- AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) architecture
- Billing schemas, rate design, invoicing engines
- Financial Contract Accounting (FICA)
- Customer master, move-in/move-out, CRM integrations
