• Required:

  An SAP ISU (Industry Specific Utilities) Lead is a senior-level position responsible for directing the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of SAP solutions within utility companies. They serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME), bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, and often lead, mentor, or manage onshore/offshore teams to deliver project outcomes.

  
  Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Configuration: Define, customize, and configure SAP ISU modules (Billing, FICA, Device Management, Customer Service/CRM) to align with business requirements.
  • Project Leadership: Manage full-cycle implementations, upgrades, or support projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop functional/technical specifications (RICEFW), manage data migration (EMIGALL), and ensure proper integration with other SAP modules (e.g., FICA, MM, CRM).
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Create and manage test strategies, including Unit, System, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), using tools like HP ALM or Jira.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business users to understand challenges, provide strategic insights, and facilitate workshops.
  • Team Guidance: Mentor junior consultants and manage offshore/onshore team deliverables.

   

  Required:

  • Experience: Generally requires 7-12+ years of experience in SAP IS-U, with multiple full-lifecycle implementations.
  • Modules: Deep knowledge of SAP IS-U core processes (Billing, EDM, DM/AMI, FICA).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in S/4HANA Utilities, ABAP, BRF+, and data migration tools.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and communicate with client executives.

  • AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure): Configuring smart metering and events.
  • Billing & Invoicing: Managing rates, billing schemas, and invoice generation.
  • FICA (Financial Contract Accounting): Handling customer accounts and payments.
  • Customer Service: Managing move-in/move-out, customer master data, and front-office integrations.
