Role: Senior Data Engineer - Informatica / Oracle / Snowflake

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid - 2 days remote with 3 days (Mon, Wed & Fri) onsite)

Job description:

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system
Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports.
Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Informatica ETL/Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions. Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ETL workflows, data ingestion from diverse source systems, and production support.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Informatica Power center, source-to-target mapping, data quality management, performance optimization, and batch job scheduling in large enterprise environments.

Minimum Requirements:

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / Systems Analyst, designing, developing, and supporting data integration solutions in an enterprise environment.
8+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
8+ years of experience ingesting data from multiple heterogeneous source systems, including flat files, APIs, relational databases, and mainframe extracts, into Oracle databases.
8+ years of experience with Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, including stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning of ETL-related queries.
8+ years of experience working with Snowflake, including data loading, schema design, and query performance optimization.
8+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) for cloud-based ETL/ELT development.
8+ years of experience gathering data requirements, performing source-to-target mapping, and documenting data flows and technical/design specifications.
8+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving data quality issues, ETL job failures, and performance bottlenecks in production data pipelines.
8+ years of experience with job scheduling and orchestration tools, such as Control-M, Autosys, or Informatica Scheduler, supporting batch data loads.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience with SAP BusinessObjects Universe design and/or maintenance.
3+ years of experience working in a state government or large enterprise IT environment, following formal SDLC and change management processes.
